Just saw this in my news feed and I came to say, chrome isn't a virus like edge always booting itself up and running 9 duplications of itself and having to be stopped in task manager constantly until I disabled it, even if chrome takes 10 times the memory and is slower I'd still pick it over the self starting virus that is edge

Search Folders is Classic Outlook Outperforms the favorites in the new Outook. And yes you can make them fovorites too ;) And tasks (reading mail, weekly review) should be in a task list not the calendar. There they are taking up time where a meeting could be planned.

Great video, Jonathan. I get to point where my iPad says "This iPad has been assigned to MDM server" and there is button that says "Erase iPad". I assigned DEP and everything just like you did but nothing happens. Click "Erase iPad" doesn't do anything. Any advice? same happening with my iPhone

Hi Jonathan. Loved the video, however the new outlook does NOT have the category feature in the advanced search!

I'm still using color code categories to identify my different projects. I use rules to automatically categorize my emails (using certain words in the title and body of the email). In old Outlook I needed yo create one rule for received e-mails and other one for sent emails. Now in the new Outlook I didn't find the option to apply those rules to my sent emails, so the rules created don't work with the sent emails. Do you know how to fix this issue?

Thanks! I have given a second chance to new Outlook thanks to your videos. I used rules in old Outlook to categorize my emails (per project), 2 rules were needed: one for inbox and other one for sent emails. In new Outlook I could only create one rule so it does not work in the sent emails folder. Do you know how to fix it?

The Outlook web access is painful to use. I really gave it a good try, but the loss of productivity was eventually too much for me, so I went back to the desktop version. You cant copy an email and paste it as an attachment. As Im constantly using that as a tool to remind people what they had previously discussed, or when I dont want them in the conversation, but dont mind them seeing the back and forth that was a huge frustration of mine. Searching for what i was doing wrong and apparently Im not the only one to complain. I had a hard time finding good reviews.

I used to have one pst file per year with all my emails (inbox and outbox) and I copied all emails there thru a rule, so I could be sure nothing will be irrecoverable. Then I felt free to delete emails from inbox and outbox. Now there is no way to file the emails in pst, only to copy incoming emails with a rule to the archive folder... any idea on what to do with outgoing emails?

Is there any way to align the totals correctly? The totals are left-aligned by default but even when I modify the aligned of a column to center or right, the totals remain in the left. Even with JSON I haven't found a way to properly align the totals. Would greatly appreciate any help!

Can you give advice on Profiles for MacOS instead iOS, because there is no company portal to be used in Authentication Method, i gues we have to choose Setup Assistand with modern Authentication but i get a msg "For devices running macOS 10.15 and later. You must deploy Company Portal to users as a required app to allow for device registration with Microsoft Entra ID. " Not sure how to do that.

These categories, workflows and some help from QuickSteps all look like nice improvements to how I do things - thanks. One thing I'm not getting just yet: Could the Tasks in To-Do appear in that Kanban view of Planner that I can access via the web? Maybe I'm overcomplicating, but I'm thinking that tasks that need working on for longer than 1 day should go to the Planner rather than just stay in the To Do list.

When it comes to projects what’s the advantage of categorizing + archiving vs. moving to a folder? For Waiting For and Next Action labelling it makes sense, but I don’t see any advantage of using categories for projects… 🤔

There are UA-cam videos demonstrating how to setup Categories in Outlook Mobile for Android. Now, or seems support for Categories on mobile has been removed. So, to be clear, you cannit use Categories in Outlook mobile. 😢

@23:24 - we wanted to see the auto pilot device enrollment stage, just before it asks you to sign-in?

@17:40 - Intune does not provide a list of popular apps to add ??? - do we have to come back into this config to re-upload the new version when it's available ?

Apps config needed: - OneDrive = auto sign-in, enable backup, etc... - Outlook = auto sign-in, enable new & reply email signature, disable reading pane, remove mention & ... - Teams = auto sign-in - Edge = auto sign-in & sync everything

@1:35 - please show how this can auto configure apps??? I still do it the old fashion way. even if I use autopilot, I am the one to setup the laptop for the users. The only slowdown is that the users have to login and MFA, because we don't keep/know their password.

Loop might be good for team meetings and tasks collaboration (like the task assigned to feature), but it won’t replace OneNote which has more advanced features in note taking/documenting capabilities. Instead of manually creating a table in Loop, can we copy/paste a table from Excel?

Great video. I am using more or less the same approach. I find ToDo quite good, been using it for over a year. But I still think that the “Task Folder” is not a real clear inbox, that is a bit confusing. I am also using “snooze” function in the new outlook. The side effect is that my inbox becomes somewhat another todo-list. But I have so many tasks so I still feel that is more effective than processing them all.

I use quick rules for my categories and give them keyboard shirtcuts.
